About us

Hull Business Training Centre was founded in 1994 by Judith Dolman and Margaret Wingfield and aims to provide a quality learning experience for participants in all programmes. We work for and in partnership with a range of private sector organisations, Hull City Council and NHS Yorkshire and Humber.

We provide a range of training opportunities and can offer free advice and guidance across a variety of programmes, including advice on funding opportunities.

We currently have opportunities in the following areas:

  • Business Administration
  • IT Application Specialist
  • Customer Service
  • Teacher Training
  • School Teaching Assistants
  • Literacy and Numeracy

Training and/or Qualifications in the above areas can be either part or fully funded through the following government funding streams:

  • Apprenticeships: 16-18 years old
  • Adult Apprenticeships: 19+ years old (including 25+)
  • Train to Gain: 25+ years old

All programmes include training where necessary and an NVQ or Diploma at Level 2 or 3 (as appropriate).  Apprenticeships, including Adult Apprenticeships, also include Functional Skills or Key Skills and Technical Certificate qualifications.
